The Fourth of July is only about a month away, but the big question is what size will Kai wear? His growth seems to be leveling out just a touch so I’m hoping this will still fit come July!
For Kai’s Patriotic romper, I went with my old favorite, the Harem Coverall, by Brindille & Twig! I made the sleeveless version and also shortened the pant legs as summers in Colorado tend to be hot. I appliqued the front of the romper before I stitched it up with the SewingForSarah Patriotic Pup Applique (free download link below).
The hat is another of my favorite patterns – the Melon Cap by Max & Meena. I love this hat pattern so much! I used red and white stripes from TKB Prints to match the applique pup’s hat. The blue stars are also from TKB Prints.
This size is currently fitting Kai perfectly! I am considering a back-up outfit in the next size up… just in case!
