My absolute favorite theme to sew for Little Boys has got to be Dinos! I was so excited to see the new preorder at Flying Pig Fabrics! They are reprinting some of their past Dino prints as well as adding some new options.
I was lucky enough to be sent a few to sew as previews for this round!
Kai needed new summer clothes, so I sewed up the Snazzy Pants from Max & Meena in the shorts length. I love this pattern. I think the stripe down each side just gives it a really sporty look, yet it is one of the simplest patterns to sew.
For the top, I used Max & Meena’s Cross My Heart Kimono top pattern. I modified it by extending the flap all the way across and sewing it into the seam. I was a little worried about the fit as Kai was not here for me to fit during modifications, but it worked perfectly! I went up a size from his current size as he is growing so darned quickly! I’m hoping it will fit long enough for him to wear it a couple of times! I was pleased with the fit, even sizing up, and will continue to make this size for him in the future.
