I love, love, love how easily this tee fits over Kai’s noggin! He is all smiles putting it on and that is not the case with most tees!
For the pants, I slightly modified Brindille & Twig‘s cuff waist harem pants. I simply cut them a little shorter to make them shorts length and left off the leg cuffs. These are pretty roomy on Kai and should fit for the rest of the summer. This is such an easy sew, particularly as shorts. Three seams (sides and crotch) and a waistband! It doesn’t get much easier than that! I had made a pair just like these to go with his Chewie Hoodie and loved them on!
I’m not sure where the solid green cotton lycra came from as it was some that has been in my stash for a while. The stripes are Geek Stripes by TKBPrints.
Once again, I used a quick and easy SewingForSarah Embroidery Machine Applique – High Top Sneaker. When using embroidery machine applique on a hand sewn shirt, I like to apply the applique to the front of the shirt before stitching the shirt together. I find this much easier than trying to hoop a tiny baby tee! I like to use a cutaway stabilizer and then trim close to the finished applique.
