This weekend, I finished sewing up this awesome pack of Halloween fabric strike offs from Snowy Owl Custom Fabrics. I had already sewn up three rompers from the Gem fabrics, but I still had a few left. Over the weekend, I sewd up the purple and black stripes, the candy corn and the Halloween Dinosaurs.
I started with the Halloween Dinosaurs! I love this fabric so much! The mummy dinosaur was my favorite and I was thrilled to receive the child sized mummy dinosaur panel. I knew I wanted to make some 2 piece sets since I had already made three rompers!
I chose the free Ringer Tee and the Faux Pocket Pants patterns both by Brindille & Twig for this fun little set! It’s a little large on Kai as I sized up so it will still fit come Halloween! I paired the Mummy Dinosaur panel and the dinosaur fabric from Snowy Owl with this great black and white stripe from TKB Prints. The Ringer Tee pattern includes both long and short sleeves making it a great year round pattern. And you can’t beat free! I also love the little faux “pockets” on the Faux Pocket Pants pattern. I love using a striped fabric for the binding on these!

For the second set, I again used embroidery machine designs from another project! I used the Ghost and the Boo wording from the SewingForSarah Ghost Garden Flag set. Instead of appliquing the letters, I just stitched the satin stitch outline. The top is again the Ringer Tee pattern by Brindille & Twig. The bottoms are the Foldover Pocket Pants (without the pockets and with just a single width waistband instead of foldover). I love this purple/black stripe so much! I think it is a great shade of purple. The colors just look so vibrant! And I was able to get both the main part of the pants AND the front and back of the top all from a single fat half!
For the final 2 piece set, I used the free Hoodie Pattern from Brindille & Twig, and the Snazzy Pants pattern by Max & Meena. This is one of my very favorite pants patterns! It is so easy to make but looks sharp with the little side stripe! It’s also a great scrapbuster fabric since you are cutting three thin pieces for each leg instead of one wider piece.
I absolutely ADORE this candy corn fabric from Snowy Owl! As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted the “My favorite veggie is candy corn” saying put on it! Son of the Maker was kind enough to add the vinyl for me!
The yellow solid was from TkbPrints.
So Baby Kai now has 6 Halloween outfits for this October! I think he may have one or two I had made while waiting for him to be born, also! I think we are well covered for Halloween! On to Thanksgiving and Christmas!
