It’s the BASHMAS round at Snowy Owl Fabrics! Time to make all of the Christmas things! I love this print so much! It has all of our favorite characters.
I was so excited to receive this fantastic fabric from Snowy Owl Custom Fabrics. The panel is cotton lycra and the rest of the main print is a really nice weight stretch french terry.
I planned right away to make a raglan from the panel by pairing it with some solid white. Max & Meena’s Mega Max Raglan pattern is one of my favorites!
I also knew I wanted to make some french terry pants for Kai for winter as they would be nice and warm! I used my old stand by, the Brindille & Twig Foldover Pocket pants pattern (with no pockets). I used a bright red cotton lycra for the waistband and cuffs.
But I still had a good bit of french terry left after cutting out the pants and wanted to make something else to go with. I have loved the Pathfinder vest pattern from Twig & Tale for the longest time so I finally bought it!
Most of the Pathfinder vests I’ve seen have been sewn from wool or wool blends, but I thought the french terry would work fine, and it was perfect! I lined it with a red cotton/lycra. This was such a quick and easy sew and it’s even reversible! I used the front overlap option with blue Kam snaps, but it can also be made with buttons or toggles. Next time…
I used the pixie hood option for this vest and love it so much! I added a giant pom pom to the end of the pointy hood.
This panel and print are part of the current preorder at Snowy Owl that includes cotton lycra, french terry and even MINKY and blanket panels!
