One of the cons about sewing strike offs is that you need to sew them months in advance so there’s time for fabric preorders and sewing! This is also the greatest pro about sewing strike offs! I am prepared for holidays months ahead of schedule!
I have a small confession to make. My name is Karen and I am addicted to furry pom poms. I just can’t help it! They are so adorable on little hats for Kai, and he gets a big grin on his face everytime he holds one! It doesn’t hurt that they are so darned inexpensive on Amazon, either!
This awesome Fireworks panel and print is currently on preorder at Shear Madness Fabrics. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it, to make Kai a New Year’s Eve outfit! I’m sure this little set might even be seen until at least 7:30 or 8:00 pm on New Year’s Eve!
And the fireworks panel/print paired perfectly with Flying Pig Fabrics black and white skinny stripes!
For the top, I revisited the Varsity Cowl Neck Pullover from Peek A Boo Patterns . I had only made one of these tops before and had a little bit of a challenge, but this time I knew what I was doing and it was much easier! I loved the tiny little stripes for the collar and pant legs!
Anything that puts such a smile on this little cutie pie’s face is a-ok with me! He looks so precious in all the outfits you’ve been making for him. My sister wishes her kids had a grandma that could sew like you do.
