These days I sew with cotton/lycra or bamboo/lycra probably 95% of the time. But once in a while it’s fun to throw some nice wovens into the mix! There are so many wovens available and a lot of patterns to sew using them.
I was sent a fat half of each of these two coordinating Dragon Ball prints by Sugar Ink Fabric from their current preorder, and I wanted to use them together to make a multi piece set.
For the pants, I used the Max Joggers pattern by Max & Meena to make some joggers from the first print. It has a specific cutting line for sewing it from wovens which took the guess work out for me. I used a bright red striped cotton lycra for the waistband and cuffs. And they fit perfectly!
I also made a matching raglan from the same red stripe knit. Max & Meena’s Mega Max Raglan pattern is one of my favorites!
I used the second Dragon Ball coordinate to make another Pathfinder vest. I made one previously and really loved it, so I thought I’d give another one a try. I used golden yellow Kam Snaps to coordinate with the print and lined it with a lightweight navy blue knit.
I used the pixie hood option for this vest.
These great woven prints are part of the current preorder at Sugar Ink Fabrics. If you prefer cotton/lycra they have that as well and matching panels to boot!

It was pretty cold outside and after a few minutes Kai was signing that he was “all done”!
