C is for Cookie…
That’s good enough for me!
When I received this great cookie print cotton lycra in the mail from Mini Me’s by TNT custom fabric, I had visions of Sesame Street, Cookie Monster and the more ridiculous hat ever seen!
I made Kai’s Cookie Monster romper using Max & Meena’s All the Rage romper pattern. for I wanted a very simple pattern to showcase the fabric and with plenty of room for the cookie monster applique, without covering up too much of the cookies! This romper was just perfect and such a quick sew as well!
For the cookie monster applique, I just found a printable coloring page online and traced the pieces onto Heat N Bond lite which I then ironed on to the back of my fabric. I used knit for the blue part of his face and fleece for the eyes and mouth. I like to use fleece when possible when doing appliquework with light colors as it’s not as seen through as cotton fabrics, especially white.
