It’s July and it’s HOT here in Sunny Colorado! But fall is right around the corner for us so I have begun the fall/winter sewing.
I’m sewing up a size so things will fit once the weather turns cooler.
I love, love, love this Rainbow Clouds fabric from Poppy Kettle Fabrics, I’ve made quite a few rompers lately so I wanted to make a two piece set. I chose the purple in the print as my accent color as it really made the white on my applique pop! This fabric is just one of the awesome prints currently on preorder at Poppy Kettle Fabrics.
I decided to go with two very basic patterns for this set as I planned to add an applique to the front of the tee. For the top, I used the Ringer Tee pattern – free from Brindille & Twig!
For the pants, I used the Foldover Pocket Pants pattern, also from Brindille & Twig. I love these basic pants, although I usually skip the pockets.
I sketched a cloud onto Heat’n Bond Lite for my applique. You can read how I applique in this post.
