Since I began sewing strike offs, I’ve really been trying to build my coordinates stash. It is so nice to have a good selection of coordinates on hand to go with all of the custom prints! This little outfit, though, uses only the “coordinates” as the stars! It combines my two most loved coordinates – stars and Atrain!
I’ve had the stars in my stash for a couple of years now and I could not believe how PERFECTLY they matched the new Watercolour Atrain by Flying Pig Fabrics!
If you haven’t purchased Flying Pig Fabric‘s fabric yet, it is soooo soft! It’s one of my favorite fabrics to work with! And they often coordinate with Lisa from TKB Prints so many of their fabrics are a perfect match!
I’m sewing this set up at the end of Flying Pig’s current preorder round so be sure to take a quick look very soon! The preorder for this round ends Friday and there are several different watercolour versions of Atrain available for preorder as well as some awesome succulent prints!
The stars are from TKBPrints.
For this cute and easy three piece set, all three patterns were from Max & Meena! The hat is the Melon Cap by Max & Meena. I love this little cap as it is reversible! This one reverses to the aqua watercolor Atrain! I can literally sew this hat up in five minutes once the pieces are cut out!
For the pants, I used the Snazzy Pants pattern by Max & Meena. I love this pattern so much as the stripes down each side give it a really sharp look! Again, it is so easy to sew. Also, since each leg has three pieces (front, back, stripe) it is a great scrapbuster as the pieces can be cut from odd scraps of fabric.
Finally, the top is the Max & Meena Mega Max Raglan. This was my first time sewing the 3/4 length sleeve for Kai and I just love this length. It will be perfect for Fall.
